I have been an avid reader all my life and now work in my local library. Being surrounded by books at home and at work is bliss. I have always wanted to write but am far too lazy for all the research a novel would require, so I was delighted to discover a few years ago that I could write rhyming poetry. I also now write some free verse.
I confess that I prefer traditional poetry and find most contemporary poetry incomprehensible. However, this will not put me off future scribbling.

I'm one of those people who has always wanted to write. My teenage diary reads: 'I'd love to write a book. I'd create a world of my own and have power over all my characters.'
I was born and educated in Scotland. I became a primary teacher, married, had two daughters and was so busy just keeping things going at home and at school, that there was little time to try my hand at writing.

Bruce Edwards is a new author just getting published who worked at Stratton Upper School at one time. 'Contour', his latest offering on the alter of romantic fiction might cause local controversy.
There are those who will say it belongs to the M & B stable, others who may love it, a certain Beds on Sunday reporter may attempt to kill it stone dead because it offends her sensibilities, but you can't please all of the people . . . sadly.
